Let us remember that the federal government, in and of itself, a collective social service recipient, by way of taxpayer dollars. In essence, anything it "creates" is the by-product of the labor of others.
Based on this premise, when the federal government states that it is going to "create jobs", the context is as follows: the federal government must create or fund a department in Washington, pay its employees, their superior benefit packages, pensions, expense accounts and internet misusage costs. These employees will then, in turn, do the painstaking work of redistibuting the remaining revenue (collected taxes) and trickle them down to the individual states. Then the states must appropriate these funds to your county or parish. They will, in turn, disperse the remaining funds to your city. The municipaities will then allocate the balance of these funds to your local district.
So before the "jobs" that we have so graciously and involuntarily funded, reaches our local economies, thousands of bureaucrats, that don't beneficially effect any of our communities, have already nibbled, heartily, at our wallets.
I would like to propose an alternative, that is insanely, more efficient: support local small business owners, so that their revenue increases. These are our neighbors. Their increased profits can lead to many more jobs, in a much more immediate fashion, at a fraction of the cost involved in sending it to 'massuh' and eternally awaiting, the arrival of the crumbs.
However, if we do not consider ourselves as contributors, and we are convinced that we are owed something because of the oppression of others, then let us relax, sit back, and enjoy life. The federal government is here. In exchange for liberty and justice, ye shall receive free healthcare, food and shelter, for all. The checks are in the mail.
God bless.
